Join us for an extra special Stitch in Space tomorrow night

by Danielle | September 16, 2009

This week’s Stitch in Space (Thursday, September 17, 2009) will feature the film Dirty Dancing, in honor of Patrick Swayze, who died this week of pancreatic cancer. The film first aired in 1987, and I remember my parents “fasting forward” through all of the scenes that they found inappropriate for my brother and I to see. This left a very confused pair of children. Without most of the dance scenes, the movie is sorta confusing. I later saw it with my mother (parents were divorced and my mother pretty much allowed us to do what we wanted when we visited her). After the second viewing, I finally understood the movie. The soundtrack is amazing and I hope that you will all sing along :) See you tomorrow!

I’m sorry I won’t be able to join you all – I loved that movie and Patrick Swayze. The movie and knitting should be a fun night!

I hope you will move chairs out from the corners as a wise man once said, “No one but Baby in a corner!”
