Dear Cameronne,

by Danielle | October 30, 2009

I do not knit at my shop. I wish I had time. I really do. But I don’t. I realize that I produce a large number of sweaters in a short period of time and this may lead one to believe that I am knitting while at the store. But I assure you, this is not the case. I am mostly knitting in the evening after I get home. Phil plays video games and I knit. Sometimes we watch House or Grey’s, but mostly sweaters happen during Bridezilla and Platinum Weddings.

So please, I beg of you, stop showing me new projects to knit. I don’t need more projects. Really, I don’t. It is hard enough being at the shop watching all of my creative customers come in, plotting new and amazing projects. But I don’t need you, as persistent as you are, insisting that I start KNITTED DRESS projects. Nope. Just don’t need it.

Having said that, this is an awesome pattern.  A pattern that I already owned, since it is in Boutique Knits which is both in my personal library and something we have at the shop. But I never noticed it before. Or if I did, I didn’t pay enough attention. It is really the perfect sweater dress for me. And while I don’t need another project, I appreciate it being brought to my attention (or forced upon me, as it may be).

Why doesn’t she have internet access? I was wondering why I hadn’t received an angry email yet.

Dear Danielle: I am willing to endure all this bitterness just because when you finish that dress you are going to LOVE it and appreciate the fact that sometimes your customer/student/friends know best. Now stop plotting your revenge and get back to your knitting! :)
