Is there a reason why we’re not supposed to use silks for Girasole, other than that it’ll be slippery on the needles? I’ve done circ cast on before and plenty of lace, but I need a brusher-up on the circular cast on and I thought the class would be fun… but the yarn I set aside for Girasole is silk. :(

Jared says, “Knitters can bring whatever they’d like — 100% silk is totally fine, or if it’s a blend, that’s also fine.” He had mentioned no silk because some folks have struggled with 100% silk for their first lace project.

I’m super pumped for these workshops – they will be my first ever actual knitting classes. I taught myself from a book a couple years ago and don’t know anyone else who knits, so being in the room with other knitters, plus Jared Flood will be very exciting for me indeed :) thanks for offering them!
