Persephone Shell
So here is the post-it note, as I shall now call it. (Veronica says I look like I have a blue post-it note over my chest area. I know why I hired that one…so helpful she is.) Here is the pattern from the latest issue of Interweave Knits. I had to go out and buy a shirt to wear with this darn thing. I really hate projects that require clothing purchases. It seems counterproductive. The last project that I had to purchase a shirt for was that dress. The one that Cameronne made me knit. yeah, you heard me. I called you out CAMERONNE.
Anyway. Does this look ok? It’s just so odd… I don’t know what to make of it. I have now invested $50 in a shirt though. Although I really do like the shirt. Glad that the project forced me to go shopping.

Suspicions confirmed – I thought this was a clumsy-looking shell when I saw it in the magazine. Even skillful knitting can’t save it from being, well, clumsy-looking…okay, I’m being diplomatic. I find it rather awful. In fact, I didn’t purchase that issue of Interweave because most of what was in it looked frumpy.
Take heart that it isn’t the knitter’s fault. I’m not sure I understand the point of this design at all. I’d rip it and use the yarn for something else.
