creepy things need names

by Danielle | July 30, 2010

We have a new contest for you all. The two newest ladies to come work at the shop need names. Meet creepy mannequin number one:

Meet creepy mannequin number two (small children beware):

Here is how it works – submit your names for one or both in the comments, and we will select our two favorites. The winners will get one of two yarny prize packages donated by Cascade yarns! (lovely things that haven’t seen in our shop yet…)

…those have to be the creepiest mannequins I have ever seen. So disturbing, in fact, that all names escape me. Seriously, they make me think of the clown from IT.

First, have to agree with Leslie V about the second one in particular looking a bit like the clown from IT!

I think creepy mannequin # 1 looks rather discerning, as if she is sniffing the aroma of a freshly opened box of Malabrigo. Her name is Genevieve Von Felt. She likes movies, dancing and knitting practical projects with impractical yarn. In fact… when knitting a baby gift for a dear friend, she made a set of burp cloths. In qiviut.

Creepy Mannequin # 2 is very happy. I’m not sure if she is happy about the recent shipment of her favorite yarn, or if she just realized she could fit your entire ankle in her mouth. It may be that she has recently learned to knit and as long as she has yarn on her person no one questions why she is carrying around those sharp pointy sticks. With that overwhelming smile and the bliss that can only come with finishing a project, her name is Joy, Joy Bindoff!
