things that are acceptable

by Danielle | October 5, 2010

As a knitter, there are things that might seem bizarre to the “oustide world” but are totally OK to the knitting world. For example:

It is perfectly acceptable to paint one’s living room a color to match the Spud and Chloe afghan that your mother made you.

It is perfectly acceptable to take a sweater out of the box to wear for the first time and find a stitch marker still in it.

It is perfectly acceptable to want to knit your Italian Greyhound a giraffe sweater so that he looks like the tiny giraffe in those Direct TV commercials.

Must own tiny giraffe!

I think all of those things sound way reasonable, especially painting the living room to match your beautiful afghan. Doug painted a bathroom to match a seashell wreath I put in there.

I just saw the teeny giraffe commercial last night – love!!!

Is it perfectly acceptable to find a stitch marker in the medicine cabinet? It found its way into the bathroom via a FO in need of blocking, sat on the sink for awhile and then migrated to the cabinet… :-)

Well I think it is worse to find them in your dog “droppings.” kinda disturbing actually…

I lol’d at the tiny giraffe as well, and I want it to!
I loved the, ‘Opulence, I has it’, line as well.
Weird when the commercials are better than the programming.
