I was ok

and then I saw Jane’s Albers cowl…it has the French Marigold colorway in it from Miss Babs!!!

I have my own Albers cowl. I don’t need a second one, do I?

Evidence that I already made an Albers

But look at the colors! Miss Babs has all those tiny little skeins of “toes” in so many many colors….just inviting me to sit on the floor and play with them until I have put together my own new Albers cowl…and the simple garter stitch in this pattern can be so soothing to knit…

Will anyone know that I have two of the same pattern? Will it matter? Should I just go all out and make the Albers shawl?

Albers Shawl by Ann Weaver

Better yet…should I try to knock out a second Albers before Ann (the pattern designer) arrives on Saturday? hmm… We could overwhelm Ann with Albers! I probably shouldn’t wear two at the same time though. That might be overkill huh?

So here was my thought process this morning: I want an albers cowl. I don’t want to use up a whole skein of X for it. I should knit a shawl in X so that I have leftover yarn so i can make an albers. Because that somehow makes sense.

You need another. I think Squash Blossom would be a great choice for one of the colors.
