This week while poking around on Ravelry, I seem to be stuck on shawls. Maybe it’s just because I’ve been freezing in the office AC all week. Or maybe it’s because these colorful delights would make fun knits. Or maybe, I just really want to knit a shawl. Regardless of the reason, here’s my favorite finds from this week’s search.
Deep End by Heidi Kirrmaier makes wonderful use of both shaping and color create this interesting shawlette. Just choose your favorite fingering yarn, and let the colors speak for themselves. Personally, I would love to see this knit up in Neighborhood Fibre Company Studio Sock.
Moonraker by Melanie Berg makes this nifty shawl pop with color and texture. I think this shawl would be an amazing way to pair some of your favorite Miss Babs Yummy Toes with your favorite fingering yarn to really let those colors pop.
The TCC Subway Shawl by Patti Waters looks like the perfect commuting project for my daily Metro trip. This would look lovely in one of Neighborhood Fibre Company’s Gradient Kits, or a Miss Babs Gradient Kit.
