Have you ever wanted to create your own sock yarn colorway? Spend an afternoon with us learning about using acid dyes to add color to wool, mohair, and other protein fibers. After a brief discussion on color theory and what colors inspire and frighten you, we will dye wool and mohair yarn and discuss how to safely do this in your own home.  Cost is $130 and includes all dye supplies and two hanks of sport weight merino

Materials

Workshop materials include 2 hanks of sport weight merino wool, a sample of mohair yarn, and all dyes and supplies.

Preparation:

Please bring a skein or two of wool yarn you don’t love to overdye. A few examples of colors you love and colors you don’t love. And wear clothes you don’t mind staining or an apron.
