Supplies Needed

Please bring to class: inspirational materials; sketch pad or paper; tape or glue stick; yarns of varying textures, weights and colors; small range of knitting needles; basic knitting toolkit

Homework

Gather inspirational materials (could be anything from paint chips to magazine clippings to a garment you love).

About Cirilia Rose

Cirilia’s citizenship in the yarn industry was quite accidental. While working her way through graduate school in Western Massachusetts she took a job at a yarn store…that just happened to be one of the biggest, most vibrant yarn stores in the country. This job put her in contact with editors, authors, designers, yarn company owners, teachers, bloggers, artists, entrepreneurs and photographers.

It was here that she gained the confidence to try her hand at knitwear design. She eventually moved on to a position as a designer at Berroco Inc. where she worked alongside Norah Gaughan for several years.

Cirilia now lives in the Pacific Northwest and is the Jr. Creative Director at Skacel Collection Inc. Her first book will be published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang in Fall 2013. You can follow her adventures at www.bricoleurknits.com
