Pattern and Yarn Selection
Our yarnistas provide a personal shopping experience when you visit the shop. Each staff member is highly knowledgeable and always willing to provide assistance with yarn substitutions and pattern ideas from our extensive library or online sources. No matter your skill level, we are ready to help you find your next project.
Ball Winding
You are welcome to use our ball winder, regardless of whether the yarn is from our shop. If you happen to be in love with the yarn you’re winding and we don’t carry it, let us know what it is!
Orbit Space
Drive-thru yarn shops may not be too far in the future…. Not enough time in your busy day to come in and squeeze the yarn or don’t want to parallel park? When you need one more skein to complete a project or just a set of needles, you can “orbit” fibre space™. Give us a call at 703-664-0344 before you plan to swing by. We’ll find what you need and bring it right out to your car!
Stitch in Space
Our weekly knit & crochet night takes place on Thursdays from 5–9 p.m. Sit and stitch in our cozy lounge, and come in for help from our “knit doctor.” This is a relaxed evening of camaraderie and our dedicated night for free, walk-in knit & crochet help.
Finishing
We serve as a hub for local finisher Holly Daymude, who provides seaming and blocking services for your handmade pieces.
Private Events & Custom Classes
Private events and classes are one of the unique aspects of fibre space™. If your schedule isn’t quite matching our regular group classes, you can create your own private, semi-private or custom group class. We offer our retro shop or classrooms for rent for private knit & crochet events or parties as well! fibre space™ staff will also come to the venue of your choice.
